Overview
Product overview
busy nurse is a browser nursing-shift simulation set in an internal medicine and surgical ward. The page uses the Chinese title “上班不要吃鳳梨” and presents an independent nursing version inspired by Dr. Charming’s “我熱愛值班”. Players choose a shift, read a handoff, and manage a playable workday with a countdown, a ward map, and a live work board.
Core features
- Three playable schedules: day shift 08:00–16:00, evening shift 16:00–24:00, and night shift 00:00–08:00.
- An eight-bed handoff screen showing patient details, diagnoses, GCS, status, nursing notes, scheduled medication, and pending procedures.
- A work board for routine medication, vital signs, operating-room transport, emergency admission, physician rounds, discharge education, lunch, documentation, and handoff.
- An illustrated ward map with patient rooms, nursing station, treatment room, treatment cart, telephone, elevator, toilet, and break area.
- A status bar for stamina, bladder, hunger, score, current time, and remaining shift time. The tested playthrough also surfaced a phone-ringing event that asked the player to answer at the nursing station.
- The on-page practice flow connects an abnormal finding with bedside assessment, grading, an SBAR call to the physician, and execution of a new order.
How to play
- Choose a shift and read the night-nurse handoff for the ward.
- Start the shift to enter the map and begin the countdown.
- Follow the work board, visit relevant ward areas, and respond to events as they appear.
- Watch the status meters and activity log while completing the simulated shift.
Audience and limits
The experience is suited to nursing learners, educators, and anyone exploring the organisation and communication of a ward shift through a game. The official page marks it for non-commercial, educational sharing. Its scenarios, values, and medication doses are game-practice content only; real clinical work must follow the physician’s orders and the unit’s rules. The official sharing artwork describes it as free and playable in a browser without a download.
