Overview
Product overview
Squoosh App is an image compressor for people preparing web assets or smaller pictures to share, with processing in the browser.
Editing controls
- Compare original and compressed images in a split preview.
- Select formats including MozJPEG, WebP, AVIF and OxiPNG, with quality and file-size feedback.
- Resize with aspect-ratio controls or reduce the color palette.
Workflow and availability
Open, drop or paste an image, or choose a sample. Select the format, tune quality and dimensions, inspect the visual difference and download the result. This helps with website image preparation and testing compression choices. The free browser workflow was tested without an account, including a WebP download. The official site states that images stay on the device and processing runs locally.
